When I purchased E Take off I was told I could switch from one to the other by Uninstalling from my desk to and reinstallinf to my lap top. this worked well for many years. Then Lorie cam along, She tell's me I have to buy a severice contract to switch back and forth, I cry foul? Inever had this problim before.

You CAN uninstall your license from one computer and install it on another. There are instructions on how to do this in the FAQs.
If you need help from support to do the uninstall/re-install, that support is only available if you have a service contract. Since you've done this in the past (and it's a simple process), you probably won't need help from support.
