You can display a measurement's description and/or quantity on the drawing. The first step is to edit the measurement trace and change the "Desc/Qty" selection to display the description and the quantity. The text is displayed using the Point color so make sure that's not white.
If no description is defined for the measurement, the trace description will be displayed. To edit the description, right-click on the measurement and select "Edit Description..." from the context menu. The Description Edit Window will be displayed where you can edit the description. In version 2.5 and later, there's a button to set the font and rotation for the text.
By default, the description is displayed in the center of the first group of connected points. To position the description, display the Description Edit Window as described above. Then position the upper-left corner of the window where you want to position the upper-left corner of the text.
