Would it be useful to add an indicator in the drawing list to show if the drawing has any measurements or annotations? Similarly the Layer List could have an indicator of anything assigned to that layer in the current drawing.

It would be very helpful for both items. I had a meeting Thursday with a customer who was using the basic version to view my estimate and it would be useful for them to quickly see which layers had notes or whatever on that particular page.
For drawings, this is implemented in release 2.5.
