Don't know if it's my setup, but scrolling via mouse wheel in different areas is inconsistent. If I take a measurement using a standard trace, then move over to the trace tree in the control panel, I can't scroll through the trace tree. If I go straight from the drawing window to the trace tree, scrolling zooms the drawing. If I click anywhere in the trace tree, the drawing list scrolls. I can never scroll the trace tree. I can never scroll the layer list in the control panel, but the drawing list scrolls. The drawing list scrolls even if I click the level list. I also notice that when the mouse is in the trace tree and scrolling zooms the drawing, the mouse pointer moves horizontally as I scroll.
The behavior I expect is for the mouse to scroll a list if the pointer is over that list.
I have a long list of traces, so my workflow is:
Key in 'N' for a new trace, select a standard trace, make the measurement, then select a custom trace from the control panel trace tree.
I suppose I could change to selecting my custom trace from the trace selection window before doing the measurement, but then I have to open a folder to the proper category, click a trace (won't scroll the list without selecting a trace), then choose a trace.
I like the control panel because the trace categories remain expanded, but dislike it due to scrolling issues. Using the trace selection window doesn't work well because all the folders are collapsed on every invocation of the window, and you still have to select a trace before your list of custom traces will scroll.
Is something wrong with my setup or is this the intended behavior? I am using a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse, but have seen no issues with other applications.
